Wrestling Awards 2021

The wrestling team held their awards banquet for both boys and girls. Winter Sports Season Athletes of the Week

Congratulations to all of our recipients of athlete of the week during the Winter sports season. These student athletes worked hard to excel in their individual sport and represented Granger weekly in their respective sports. The coaches at Granger voted weekly to determine the winners of AoW during the winter season.

The wrestling team placed 10th in a tough division and is sending six wrestlers on to the state championships. The team was lead by seniors Donovan Alarcon, Patricio Vazquez, and Park Beeler, with the help of juniors Isai Hernandez and Vikita Tausinga. Carlos Ruiz was the lone sophomore qualifier. The boys and girls teams wrestled at seperate tournaments this past weekend. The girls wrestled at the ladyhawk tournament and finished in 9th place out of 21 total teams.
